February events, class changes and spring preview

Hello to the Breathe Play Love Yoga Collective Community! February is Heart Health month, and we have a few ways to help your heart become stronger, lighter, and more open in the days and weeks to come.

Yoga for Eden

Did you hear about the wonderful event we have coming up on February 12th to help the Prescott Police Department raise funding for their new emotional support and facility dog?! Well, come to Founding Fathers on Saturday from 9am to noon to enjoy the *amazing* silent auction items donated by our loving community businesses: Allan's Flowers, Bend Hot Yoga, Herbal Goddess Healing, SOAR Pilates, Dancing Skeleton Foods, Hedda Skincare, Your CBD Store, Flying Leap Wines, The Barley Hound, The County Seat, Rosas Pizzaria, Raskins Jewelers, and Founding Fathers. You can show your support as you grab a mimosa, take a photo inside the Vintage Photo Co.'s Tessie, bid on items...and warm your heart with snuggles from Eden the dog. We have sold out of the yoga spots for 9am and 10:30, so we hope you'll come and show your support in these other fun ways too. It's all possible thanks to our sponsors: Prescott Woman Magazine, Northland Cares, Prescott Homegirl: Bree Fitzgerald.

Class Location Updates

The vision of Breathe Play Love Yoga has always been to help bring yoga to the people, help teachers share and students find the teachers they love as well as offering community service classes.

In September 2021, we had the opportunity to open up classes at the Founders Gym inside Founding Father Collective. When they approached us with the vision of sharing yoga in their gym for the benefit of their members and the community, we thought it would be great opportunity to share more yoga.

As we expand and create new offerings for our community, we have decided to transition our classes out of Founders Gym. We look forward to sharing in natural settings as spring comes, as well as offering more classes at the lovely Sunrise Studio as their floor renovation nears completion.

Our last classes at Founders Gym will be this week, ending with the Yoga for Eden event on 2/12/2022

We will be hosting special yoga events on the patio at Founding Fathers this spring and summer as the weather warms up.

New yoga classes will be also be added to the schedule at Sunrise Studios beginning in March, and all others are ongoing during floor (de-)construction in the main studio. The second studio on site is cozy and bright. If you haven't tried it out yet, please come on by. Our website has our schedule of offerings.

Our Mission and Open House

Breathe Play Love Yoga Collective is donation-based for a reason. Your donations are building opportunities in the Prescott area. Breathe Play Love Yoga instructors provide classes for everyone, no matter the ability to pay for services. Your donation is up to you, and we honor that. Our instructors are also volunteering behind the scenes in many ways, including offering no-cost options for underserved populations here in our town. Besides creating fundraising events of support, our BPLYoga Collective is making opportunities for youth and adults in the recovery community to benefit from the practice we all know and love. We have also assisted with Veterans groups, mothers, and more in our brief nine-month exististnce. BPLYoga is actively working to broaden our offerings to the community. We are open to your ideas and will have a meeting in March where you can join us! Stay tuned for the date and time announcement for our upcoming Open House! We believe yoga should be available to EVERYONE. We honor all yogic styles, practices and philosophies. We are an affordable approachable community-driven yoga collective.

Space is limited, so please use MindBody app to reserve your spot, or email Jessica directly using the email listed. All levels are welcome and accommodated.

Yoga = "the heart booster"

Your practice can help to relieve stress. Plus, doing yoga may help lower blood pressure, blood cholesterol and blood glucose levels. Many of us have experienced a lower heart rate during and after yoga. But did you know that blood measurements and waist circumference—a marker for heart disease—improved in middle-aged adults with metabolic syndrome who practiced yoga for three months?
